Medium bio — 90 words

Nicole Palapoli is a New York painter and tattoo artist working across canvas, skin, body and wall. She graduated from the School of Visual Arts in 2002 with a BFA in Animation, studied under Italian painters at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Florence, and earned her teaching certification in Art Education at Queens College. After a year teaching high-school art she left for a tattoo apprenticeship, and in 2012 opened Body Language Tattoo in Astoria. She closed it seven years later, by choice, to paint. Innerspace Gallery is what followed.

Artist statement

“My artwork exists to illuminate our soul’s experience in human form: the duality of love and heartbreak, our connection with nature, sacred symbols and the unified field of consciousness. As it moves through me and onto its surface, my artwork has given my life a purpose beyond my own healing. My wish is to evoke reflective conversation, deep connections, and emotional and spiritual healing in the hearts of my viewers as we co-create a more conscious existence.”

Previous coverage

Press to date

Nothing is listed here yet. Rather than pad this page, it stays empty until there is something real to put on it. If you have covered Nicole’s work before and it is missing, please send the link.

Review note for Nic — not part of the finished page. Two things are deliberately absent. Any past press, because nobody has confirmed what exists. And the Macy’s Herald Square credit, which is in your old written material but unverified — if it is accurate it is the strongest single line you have and it should go near the top. Tell me what it actually was and it goes in.
